A priest about the Vatican’s declaration that pollution is a modern sin. Plus, the creative thinkers behind a hand-cranked street generator, the adobe house of the future, carbon-neutral rock shows, and the Eco Art movement.

|||||To The Best of Our Knowledge - Going Green - http://www.wpr.org/book/070527b.html
From a year ago.. a rich program... interesting to see how the topics have reframed themselves over the past year. Bill McKibben, Paul Hawken, a professor who spent a year dumpster diving, etc.

|||||To The Best of Our Knowledge - In Living Color -

A recent show.. SEGMENT 1: Alan Weisman, author of "The World Without Us." talks about what would happen to our planet if all the human beings simply disappeared with all our junk. Basically, nature would waste no time taking over. Also, looking for hope about the world's environmental problems among the children of Randall Elementary School in Madison, Wisconsin. (which is super cool!) SEGMENT 2: Sam Keen, author of "Sightings: Extraordinary Encounters with Ordinary Birds." Thomas Morton on the Great Pacific Ocean Garbage Patch that contains a huge amount of plastic bags and bottles. SEGMENT 3: Eric Toso on getting bit by a rattlesnake.
